Activities
Precious Child Care & Preschool (PccandP) has gone to great lengths to make sure that all the enrolled children at our faciliity have well rounded exposure to activities and learning that will nurture the whole child; the complete body, soul, and spirit. We work alongside the parents and with close ties to the educational systems in the area to enable a smooth transition into full time school when they are ready. Part of this equipping entails religious exposure to bible based prayer and study, acknowledgement of personal holidays like Birthdays, and cultural holidays. We also provide sponsored field trips and bring in other types of activities. You will find the specifics below:
Religious Activities
PCCandP is a Christian day care and preschool. Children will be taught that God loves them and will participate in Christian celebrations throughout the year. We teach the Bible as part of our standard curriculum and prayer is part of our daily activities. The children will be taught Christian values, such as treating other as they want to be treated, respecting parents and teachers, sharing, being kind, and using nice words.
Birthdays
We recognize that birthdays are important events in a child’s life and we celebrate them at PCCP. Many children have food allergies and it is necesasry to check with your child's teacher about what types of treats to bring for your child's birthday celebration.
Field Trips
We schedule enjoyable and interesting field trips for children in grades Kindergarten through sixth grade. Field trips are a fun way for children to learn about the world around them. A typical field trip would be a visit to the zoo or a picnic in the park
We inform you well in advance of field trips by placing a field trip schedule on the day care bulletin board and in the monthly newsletter. A space on the enrollment form is provided for you to authorize your child’s participation field trips. There may also be a special fee for the trips. We welcome any parents who want to join us, please talk to your child’s teacher. A properly licensed and insured vehicle and first aid certified driver is provided by PCCP for transportation on all field trips. The law requires all children eight years old and younger to ride in a booster seat. Parents are responsible for providing and installing a booster seat.
