Nutrition

Children are provided with a hot lunch and mid-morning and afternoon snacks designed to meet their nutritional needs. Breakfast is also available prior to 8:00 AM. Weekly menus are posted on the day care bulletin board.
We ask for your cooperation by not bringing food to PCCand P unless it is required for pre-approved medical reasons and you have filled out an Allergy Form which has been signed by a physician. Please let us know if your child has any food allergies.
We focus on following nutritional guidelines and supplying balanced meals with vegetables, protiens, grains, and dairy. If your child has allergies to any of these items, the parents will be required to supply meals and snacks. We may ask you to prepare a sack lunch for your child on special occasions such as picnics or field trips.
Infant Meals
Each day you will need to provide four pre-made bottles, and four partially made bottles (measured out formula in empty bottles) with lids and labeled with your child’s name. The parents will label each bottle with the date and time and place the bottles in the refrigerator. All unused bottles will be returned each night so parents can see how much their child ate. If your toddler is not eating table food, we ask that you provide their food.
Preparation
Meals are prepared in our full service kitchen located on the property. We have a staff cook who prepares each item on the menu with care and compliance with Department of Health standards. The meals are then transported to the classroom where they are served by the teachers. The menus are varied from week to week to ensure that the children are not bored with the food choices. You may access the menus on this website by clicking Sample Menu on the left.
